LATEST PHASE OF STONEBRIDGE BUSINESS PARK REACHES MAJOR MILESTONE FOR ST. MODWEN
CONSTRUCTION of the next phase of Stonebridge Business Park has reached an important milestone with St. Modwen completing the development of speculative units at the prime Liverpool site.
The latest phase at Stonebridge has delivered 63,657 sq ft of speculative warehouse / industrial space across four units, each with their own self-contained yards.
The four high quality units range in size from 32,252 sq ft to 5,117 sq ft and front the A580 East Lancashire Road. St. Modwen recently agreed a pre-sale on one of the units to Almond Catering Supplies. The remaining three range in size from 10,415 sq ft to 32,452 sq ft.
The build has been carried out by Caddick Construction for St. Modwen, the UK's leading regeneration specialist.
David Nuttall, Development Manager at St. Modwen North West, said: "The latest speculative development we have undertaken at
Stonebridge Business Park reflects our confidence in this location and our belief that there is demand in the local and regional economy for high quality accommodation.
"These latest units will complement the offer we have at Stonebridge which now has a total of 298,000 sq ft of accommodation over 50 units.
"The prominence of the location, on the A580 East Lancs Road coupled with the quality of product, makes Stonebridge Business Park an attractive proposition for occupiers in the market who are considering relocation."
Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson said: "Stonebridge Business Park is a critical strategic site for Liverpool's logistics economy and will deliver hundreds of much needed jobs. It's great to see such quick progress is being made and I look forward to the day when companies start moving in and completing the transformation of this hugely important business park."
Mark Rich, Regional Commercial Manager at Caddick Construction, said: "These high-quality units add to our healthy portfolio of industrial projects and we look forward to seeing the local economy benefit from the newest phase of the development.
"We continue to be heavily involved in regeneration in Liverpool as work continues at Great Homer Street and Liverpool Shopping Park, and it's very rewarding to watch the city go from strength to strength as investment in the area continues."
This phase of development follows the construction of a new 69,197 sq ft parcel distribution facility for express delivery service DPD (UK) and a 15,700 sq ft speculative phase of starter units which both opened last year.
The new units will add to a total investment of almost £4m to the region and have created 160 permanent and construction jobs.
All units are available to let or purchase. GVA and Knight Frank are the agents for the scheme.
