28th April 2017

Residents, businesses and visitors have a whole host of events to look forward to at Longbridge in 2017.

Thanks to the support of St. Modwen, owner and manager of the town centre, community group Friends of Longbridge Open Spaces (FLOS) have organised a calendar of monthly themed markets. These will offer something for everyone and give local businesses and craftsmen an opportunity to share their talents. Stalls will include handmade jewellery, decorations, desserts, flavoured spirits and much more.

The first of the monthly markets was held on the concourse at Longbridge last month, attracting more than xx handmade and craft stalls and hundreds of visitors.

Andrea Clarke, Property Manager for St. Modwen said: “The monthly markets are a great addition to the retail and community offering at Longbridge, giving local businesses the chance to engage with businesses and visitors alike.

“The first handmade market was a real success and we look forward to welcoming visitors and local businesses to Longbridge over the coming months.”

Helen Denby-Knight, Friends of Longbridge Open Spaces Co-ordinator, added: “We’ve held two markets at Longbridge so far and both were really well received by the community.”

All markets will take place outside Park Point at Longbridge town centre and will run from 9am-5pm.
