TASTE EATERY TAKES A STEP BACK IN TIME TO THE 1940s AT THE VILLAGE AT WATERDALE

Taste Eatery at The Village at Waterdale is stepping back in time this November with a 1940s themed rebrand.

To celebrate its new look, Taste, which is run by the not-for-profit organisation, Open Cast, is hosting a special 1940s themed event on Saturday 18th November between 10am and 10pm at its location on Kingsgate. The vintage-inspired event will feature live music from a saxophonist and 40s dancing, such as the Lindy Hop. 1940s-inspired cream teas will be available throughout the day for customers to purchase and wartime themed cocktails will be served during the evening, alongside a special evening menu.

In addition, Little Zebra, another Open Cast venture, will be opening up its training salon to makeover customers with 1940s hair and makeup transformations.

Angie Dowling, owner of Taste Eatery, said: "We've been at The Village at Waterdale for three years now and the business has gone from strength to strength. We felt like it was a great time for a bit of a makeover and we love all things vintage so we decided to pay homage to the 1940s. We hope people can join us to celebrate our rebrand at our special event on the 18th November."

Rebecca Berry, Centre Manager at The Village at Waterdale, said: "It's been great to see Taste grow over the past few years and become such a popular destination with our customers. It's an exciting time with the rebrand coming up and the 1940s event on the 18th November promises to be something truly unique for families in Doncaster."
