Positive and Negative

The St.Modwen identity is probably the most important element of our entire look and feel and needs to be applied consistently in application. The following pages show you how to use our identity consistently and creatively.

Straplines

In some applications it will be necessary to use our identity with a strapline to further enhance our brand essence. Examples of typical applications are shown below.

Minimum size

The St.Modwen identity becomes illegible under 18mm in width so please do not use it under this size.

Clear space

Clear space is very important for an identity, it gives it room to breathe and clear prominence on a given application. Other text, graphic devices or similar should never encroach into the clear space outlined below. To calculate the clearspace around our identity first identify the height of ‘X’ which is always the height of the swan. The clearspace is half of ‘X’,

Positioning

As the St.Modwen identity is rectangular it has great flexibility regarding placement. As long as you adhere to the given clear space our identity can be placed anywhere on an application.

Do nots

Our identity is important and consistency even more so. Please use the identity as intended - leave it as shown and DO NOT create your own unique version of the logotype.

DO NOT insert images into the logotype.	DO NOT rotate the logotype.	DO NOT change the order of elements within the logotype.
DO NOT hinder the clarity of the logotype.	DO NOT change the scale of any of the elements within the logotype.	DO NOT use the Swan marque on its own.
DO NOT use the logotype without the Swan marque.	DO NOT repeat the logotype.	DO NOT change the colour of the logotype.
