Corporate Identity - Watermarks

100% versions

The watermark is a secondary element within our graphic look and feel, taking inspiration from the colour and flow of water. There are 5 to choose from which can be flipped and rotated, the colours should never be changed from the versions shown here and should only ever be used on the backgrounds that have been specified below. If you require a set of watermarks in different formats please email info@stmodwen.co.uk

Placement

Placement of the watermark is a very important part of our look and feel. Where possible please use the watermarks in the lower third of any application. This rule will not be possible in some instances which means they can appear in the top half of an application.

Placement example

TOP HALF
The watermark should not as a rule appear in the top half - it should generally sit in the lower half of any application.

BOTTOM HALF
The watermark can be placed in this section if necessary but it is visually preferred in the bottom third of an application.

BOTTOM THIRD
This is the ideal placement for the watermark and should be used as often as possible.

Logotype placement

Careful consideration must be taken when using the watermark in conjunction with the logotype, you must follow the clearspace given on page on the identity page. The logotype should never be covered by the watermark.

50% tint versions

In addition to the 100% watermarks there are 50% tinted versions of the watermarks. These are to be used sparingly in application to punctuate heavy uses of bold colour and heavy typographic sections.
