Burton-on-Trent site sold for housing

St Modwen Developments Ltd has sold a 1.3 acre brownfield site in Orchard Street, Burton-on-Trent with outline consent for residential development, to Cameron Homes for an undisclosed sum.

The site was formerly leased to Tresises Printers Ltd which is relocating elsewhere in the town and is to be redeveloped with up to 60 dwellings.

Ray Hill of St Modwen said: "This scheme is very much in line with current national and local planning policies. It will bring more homes close to the town centre contributing to its vitality and security."
