28 July 2004

One of the country’s leading hand and power tool specialists is to increase its occupation on Coombs Wood Business Park, Halesowen, which is being developed by St Modwen Developments Ltd, the development subsidiary of St Modwen Properties PLC, in a joint venture with Corus plc.

C A Clemson & Sons Ltd, trading under the name of Toolbank, who service the retail tool trade nationwide, has concluded a deal of just under £2 million for a new 3,214 sq m (34,600 sq ft) warehouse on the eastern part of the 43-acre park.
In 2001, the group occupied a 5,109 sq m (55,000 sq ft ) unit on the western part of the park.

Rupert Joseland of St Modwen, said: " It is very encouraging and a sign of confidence in a location when a company decides to expand its occupation in this way. We are delighted that C A Clemson has taken that decision to commit further investment at Coombs Wood.

"Construction of the second building will begin in August and completion is due next February when Toolbank will relocate from Halesowen."

Stephen Clemson, managing director of C A Clemson & Sons Ltd, said: "St Modwen’s attention to our needs and requirements has been first class and has significantly contributed to the successful agreement of yet another design and build project with them."

NAI Fuller Peiser acted for St Modwen and C A Clemson was represented by Asset Plus One Ltd.
