New lease of life for Hannibal House

More than 60,000 sq ft of space out of the total of some 90,000 sq ft has been let at Hannibal House, the newly refurbished office building above the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre, London, giving a major boost to the local area. Following the vacation of the building by the Department of Health at the expiry of its lease, the building was last year converted to a business centre by owners Key Property Investments , the joint venture between St Modwen Properties PLC and Salhia Real Estate Co. of Kuwait. Hannibal House, in its new guise, has proved attractive to occupiers from a wide cross section of businesses in both the private and public sectors. Current tenants include Mapeley, London School of Management, St Piran¹s School GB Ltd as well as local and national charities such as Southwark Action for Voluntary Organisation, Southwark Community Care Forum and Victim Support. Suites are available from 140 sq ft to complete floors of around 8,000 sq ft. Tenants benefit from a range of services offered by the business centre including a staffed reception, internet and telephone services, and meeting rooms. As soon as the marketing campaign started after our initial refurbishment, it became clear that we were offering to the market a product that was appealing to local occupiers.
