Former Bull Engineering building to make way for New Hemel Hempstead Ind. Estate

25 October 2007

Work is due to begin later this month on the demolition of the former Bull Engineering unit in Maxted Road, Hemel Hempstead, to make way for the development by Key Property Developments , the joint venture between St Modwen Properties and Salhia Real Estate, Company, of new industrial accommodation on the 2.5 acre site.

Planning consent has already been obtained for 43,000 sq ft in four terraces offering units from 2,500 sq ft. Work on the eight-month construction contract will begin in January.

Gary Morris, senior development manager for St Modwen, said: "This development continues the company¹s strategy of regenerating old industrial/employment complexes, giving the site a new lease of life.
Although works will start speculatively, we are confident of generating early interest from occupiers - buyers or tenants - in what will be a valued addition to our portfolio of managed estates."

KPI is represented by Lambert Smith Hampton.
