Another unit sold as Phase 2 completes at Henley

29 October 2007

Six of the nine units in the first phase of St Modwen¹s Henley Business Park, Normandy, near Guildford, have now been sold or let.

The latest occupier is Unico Components Ltd, who supply fittings for the furniture market. Unico has acquired a 6,700 sq ft industrial unit for £738,000, joining Bishops Move, Aria and Docusave in this phase of the park.

Construction of a second phase of three units totalling 35,500 sq ft has recently been completed on the park, each unit being approximately 11,800 sq ft.

Lying adjacent to the new business park is the managed estate created by St Modwen out of the former Vokes premises which comprises some 200,000 sq ft of industrial space, where a variety of accommodation is available on flexible lease terms.

Interest in the managed estate as well as the business park is holding up well despite the less certain times.

Paul Arnold, senior development surveyor for St Modwen, said: "We are delighted with the finished product of both the new phases, and that combined with the enviable working environment has helped to keep interest levels high.

"We are hopeful of converting the current interest in the remaining units into transactions in the coming months, and then focus on the redevelopment options for the adjacent managed estate."

Vail Williams represented St Modwen. Unico Components were unrepresented.
