MANAGER APPOINTED FOR INNOVATION CENTRE, BLACKBURN

Dawn Rogers has been appointed manager of the Innovation Centre at Evolution Park, Blackburn, one of two buildings being developed by St Modwen in partnership with Blackburn with Darwin Borough Council. The Innovation Centre is part of the initial phase of the 223,000 sq ft business park to serve medical, science and knowledge-based businesses. The 30,000 sq ft Innovation Centre with a further 16,000 sq ft of grow-on space in an adjacent building is due to open next August. It will provide business space with suites from 200 sq ft to 1,500 sq ft, support and meeting facilities to existing and start-up businesses on flexible terms. Dawn previously spent eight years working for the Regus Group as an area sales manager and more recently as general manager of two of their Manchester sites with full commercial responsibility. She said: ³I have been brought on board at an early stage by St Modwen so that the centre can hit the ground running when it is completed. I am already establishing links with UCLAN, the NHS and other business intermediaries so that we have businesses waiting to move in when the building is handed over.² Michelle Taylor, regeional director of St Modwen, said: ³I am delighted to welcme Dawn to the North West team.
