FIRST SALE ON NEW DEVELOPMENT AT HILLINGTON

24 January 2008

The development of 80,000 sq ft of high quality industrial accommodation begins this month on the former Rolls Royce site at Hllington, Glasgow, which the UK's leading regeneration specialist St Modwen Properties PLC, acquired two years ago.

A 25,000 sq ft building on the development, Pegasus Court , fronting Queen Elizabeth Avenue, has already been pre-sold to Toolbank, a tool supply company which is relocating from the centre of Glasgow.

Muir Construction has been awarded the construction contract and is scheduled to start building at the end of the month for completion in August.

St Modwen has already embarked on a substantial programme of refurbishing the existing 650,000 sq ft of industrial buildings which is proving popular with occupiers seeking refurbished space on flexible terms.

Mike Hosie, development manager of St Modwen, said: ³Being able to offer freehold units in Hillington will be extremely popular with occupiers, particularly because of the lack of quality industrial units in the area and the excellent communication links the site has to the M8 and Glasgow International Airport.

Colliers CRE and Atisreal are letting agents for St Modwen.
