CENTRE 500 MAJOR ATTRACTION FOR INDUSTRIAL FIRMS
14 February 2008
Thirteen of the 22 speculative industrial and distribution units recently completed by leading UK regeneration specialist St Modwen at Centre 500, Wolstanton, Newcastle-under-Lyme , have been sold or let. A total of 93,500 sq ft , ranging in size from 2,250 sq ft to 20,000 sq ft, has been developed in this latest phase on the former coal stockyard site. Andrew Cox of St Modwen, said: "There is firm interest in the remaining units and we hope to instruct solicitors on further transactions shortly." The units have been constructed to a high standard by Morgan Ashurst in shell form, allowing occupiers to fit out to suit their specific needs. They are available to lease or purchase on competitive terms. Centre 500 is a modern high profile development immediately adjacent to the A500 where the latest new occupiers include Technic Mechanical Services Ltd (10,500 sq ft), a German fencing company QRailing (4,000 sq ft) , precision engineers Xtrutech, florist wholesaler Titleys & Sons and Dynamic Sampling, a drilling firm, which have all bought 3,000 sq ft units. A 12,000 sq ft unit has been sold to a private investor. All these units have been sold for around £70 per sq ft. Louis Taylor is acting on behalf of St Modwen.
