FARNBOROUGH’S LEADING BUSINESS CENTRE APPOINTS MANAGER TO DELIVER NEW SERVICES

04 March 2010

St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist and owner of newly renamed “The Meads Business Centre”, has appointed Lisa Rollings as Business Centre Manager to drive forward substantial improvements to the scheme.

Lisa will be delivering a programme of initiatives in the business centre which is located at the heart of The Meads development in Farnborough. This will include the creation of a new reception area, break out area, conferencing / meeting room facilities, additional tenant services plus new branding and signage.

The new reception area will allow businesses and visitors improved access from the ground floor of the centre. Additional facilities will be available to occupiers including a telephone answering service and access to shared office equipment such as franking, binding and laminating machines. Extensive conferencing and meeting room facilities, each with AV equipment and air-conditioning, can also be hired. This is supplemented by a wide range of suites and offices from 400 to 7,000 sq ft, which are available on flexible terms with leases ranging from six months to ten years.

“The changes are designed to ensure we deliver top of the range services to businesses in the centre in a modern and fresh setting,” explains Lisa, who joins St. Modwen from Fujitsu. “The accommodation is particularly suitable for start-up companies or smaller businesses that do not want to commit to lengthy leases. In a recession, space of this sort can be surprisingly popular. Companies want good quality accommodation which does not tie them in to a long-term landlord/tenant relationship at a time when economic prospects are so uncertain. We currently have 10 tenants and are confident more will sign up throughout the year.”
