ST. MODWEN TO LET BUILDING WITH ROOTS IN CANNOCK’S COAL MINING HISTORY

An industrial building in the heart of Cannock which has played a role in Staffordshire’s coal mining history is set to be given a new lease of life.

Situated at Rumer Hill Industrial Estate off Rumer Hill Road, a vacant 24,116 sq ft office/ industrial building is being marketed by the UK’s leading regeneration specialist St. Modwen, via local property agents Andrew Dixon & Company. A new occupier is being sought for the building that dates back to 1933, when it was first used as shower/ bath block at the pit head of the Mid Cannock Mine. In more recent years, the building has been utilised by information protection and storage firm Iron Mountain to house documentation relating to the coal industry, including medical records for compensation claims. The building is now available to let immediately.
