The onsite Innovation Centre, which provides a supportive environment for start-up technology based businesses, produced two winners and a runner up.

Innovation Centre winners:
 Dan Hyman of Studioworx Ltd won Young Technology Entrepreneur
 Steven Oddy of So Technology was runner up in Young Technology Entrepreneur
 Kinetic Solutions won the Education and Business Collaboration category
Cranfield Technology Park winners:
 Total IT was a runner up in the Business Support category
 Specialist Microwave Solutions was runner up in the Education and Business Collaboration category

The event was sponsored by St. Modwen Northern Home Counties.

Robin Vaughan, Development Manager at St. Modwen Northern Home Counties commented:
“The Bright Sparc Awards remind us all of the fantastic innovations that are being forged by young business men and women across the region. We are delighted to sponsor an award that recognises the advances being made in technology based businesses.

“Everyone nominated in these awards has shown particular flair for using technology to achieve innovation, drive new business growth or significantly enhance their business. We congratulate all those who were nominated, all finalists and, of course, the winners, who truly excelled. We are particularly pleased that two category winners are based at Cranfield Technology Park’s Innovation Centre, which demonstrates the true value of the support provided at the centre for young businesses.”
