£8 million distribution warehouse pre-let at Trentham Lakes Stoke-on-Trent

The signing of a pre-let 16,536 sq m (178,000 sq ft) distributiondevelopment marks a further success at Trentham Lakes, a 400-acre mixedscheme by Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration Ltd, the joint venture vehicle formedby St Modwen Properties PLC and Stoke City Council.

H W Plastics Ltd, part of Heywood Williams Group plc, manufacturer ofextruded plastic for the windows and doors industry, has taken a pre-let onthe premises due to be completed in November.

This letting follows recent announcements of a major factory complex forRemploy and a distribution unit for Firmin Coates at Trentham Lakes. Stoke Regeneration now has more than 27,870 sq m (300,000 sq ft) under construction on the site, all pre-let or pre-sold.

Mike Herbert, director of Stoke Regeneration and regional director of St Modwen Developments, said: “H W Plastics selected the site following a detailed analysis of their customer base and it provides an excellent central distribution location for its nationwide business. The company’s main manufacturing facilities are based in Macclesfield and Gloucester.
