CITIZENS ADVICE KNOWSLEY RELOCATE TO A NEW PREMISES IN KIRKBY TOWN CENTRE
Citizens Advice Knowsley has opened new premises in Kirkby Town Centre with the help of St. Modwen who provided space, a short walk from the bus station.
Demonstrating their commitment to Kirkby, Knowsley CAB have remained in the town centre, moving from the old premises from Newton Gardens to Cherryfield Drive on a new 10 year lease.
Citizens Advice Knowsley has taken 2,500 sq ft of ground floor space, located directly opposite Kirkby Town Centre Bus Station and next door to Iceland.
Providing a lifeline for the local community, Citizens Advice Knowsley provides local people with free, impartial, independent and confidential advice.They provide information and practical support on a range of matters, including debt management advice, benefit application support and food and fuel assistance.
The new premises have significantly better training facilities for their volunteers and is much more accessible and visible for the local community.
Brian Gouldson, Citizens Advice Knowsley Chief Officer said: “We’re extremely pleased and confident we have made the correct decision to relocate our offices from Newton Gardens to Cherryfield Drive. Accessibility and visibility had proved a problem at the previous home, which will now be minimised as we’re directly opposite the bus station and clearly sign posted from the main road.
“Our services have increased in demand over the last two years, and it was important for us that we adapted to the change in the needs of the local community. The new office will ensure we’re capable of doing the best job possible, with better facilities both for staff, training of our volunteers and the members of the community who benefit from our services.
“It was important for us that we remained not only in Kirkby, but at the heart of the community in the town centre, and this new office space ensures we’re exactly where we need to be and accessible for the Knowsley community.”
