CONFIDENCE IS ON THE RISE AMONGST HOUSEHUNTERS IN RUGBY
Local housebuilder, St. Modwen Homes, has revealed that confidence is on the up amongst househunters in Rugby, following a 25% increase in sales at its Edison Place development located off Technology Drive.
During the first six months of 2014, St. Modwen Homes has seen both visitor levels and sales surge at Edison Place with many people commenting that they feel now is the right time to buy.
These figures coincide with recent national statistics revealing that house sales across the country rose by more than 20% in the past 12 months.
Thanks to the recent sales success, St. Modwen Homes has now sold more than 50% of the properties at Edison Place, with plans to release the second phase of homes later this year.
Bev Hall, sales and marketing director at St. Modwen Homes said: “Since the beginning of 2014 there has been a marked increase in the number of people visiting our Edison Place development, with many feeling that now is the right time to buy in the local area.
“It’s no surprise that the housing market in Rugby is thriving, after all as well as being a destination in its own right, it is a perfect commuter location for people working in both Birmingham and London. The properties at Edison Place have an enviable location just a short walk from Rugby train station, meaning the new homeowners can be at London Euston train station in as little as 50 minutes.
“In the past couple of months alone, we have seen a marked increase in the number of commuters purchasing at Edison Place who either work in London or Milton Keynes, many of whom are attracted by the higher quality and larger home they can afford in Rugby compared to properties in the larger cities.”
To help showcase the family homes available at Edison Place, St. Modwen Homes has launched a brand new four bedroom view home. Priced from £225,995 (and available under the government’s Help to Buy scheme), The Roselle has been designed with families in mind, boasting a large open plan kitchen and dining room with patio doors leading out to a rear garden, as well as a spacious and bright living room. As with all St. Modwen Homes’ properties, The Roselle has traditional high ceilings and larger than average windows, as well as glazing around the front door, allowing light to flood through the property.
When complete, St. Modwen Homes will deliver 87 new homes in this phase at Edison Place, located off Leicester Road in Rugby. In addition to the new homes, St. Modwen Homes is delivering nearly three acres of high quality public open space, local play areas, landscaping (including a wildlife area), and pedestrian and cycle links throughout the development.
