St. Modwen Homes has seen sales increase by 50% at its Littlecombe development in Dursley, following an increase in purchaser confidence within the local market place.
During the first quarter of 2014, the award-winning housebuilder has seen both visitor levels and house sales surge at Littlecombe, with many people now commenting that they feel more confident that it’s the right time for them to buy.
These figures coincide with national statistics released last month revealing that house sales across the country rose by more than 20% in the past 12 months.
Bev Hall, Sales and Marketing Director at St. Modwen Homes said: “Last year we were selling one or two homes each month at Littlecombe but, since opening the doors in 2014, we’re now securing an average of four homes every month, showing just how much local confidence has increased. In fact, last month, we sold an impressive four houses in just one week.
“We’ve also seen an increase in young professionals visiting the site, particularly those who work in Bristol and are looking for a picturesque home within a commutable distance.”
The national housebuilder has now almost sold out of its first release of three and four bedroom detached and semi-detached homes and, as a result, will be releasing the next phase of housing ahead of schedule.
Bev said: “Thanks to the high demand for homes at Littlecombe, we have made the decision to release the next phase of housing much earlier than originally planned, allowing househunters to reserve one of these new homes this summer. Building on the house designs that have currently been delivered, the next phase of housing will boast a mixture of three and four bedroom detached and semi-detached properties in a variety of different styles, all with high ceilings, large windows and spacious living areas.”
Currently, there is a selection of four bedroom houses available to purchase at Littlecombe, ranging from the semi-detached Merina property to the detached Portland home. All the properties currently available are fitted with high quality fixtures and fittings including designer bathrooms and contemporary open plan kitchen and dining rooms, with double Patio doors leading out onto a rear garden. Prices for the homes start from £262,950 up to £332,995.
The new housing development forms part of the wider mixed use scheme at Littlecombe, which has the capacity to hold up to 200,000 sq ft of employment space. On the Business Park, 25,000 sq ft has been completed alongside the new Community Hospital. When complete, the development will also offer a wide range of local amenities for local people, including a public house, doctors’ surgery and crèche, as well as retail space.
