St. Modwen Homes

St. Modwen Homes is steaming ahead with the construction of its second Worcester development, located off Whittington Road, with the first homes now starting to take shape.

Named Weogoran Park in honour of the enriched history of the area, the development will boast 120 new homes when complete, as well as open green space. Additionally, planning was granted for 150,000 sq ft of office space earlier this year.

Dave Smith, Managing Director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “Weogoran was part of the original name given to Worcester by the Anglo Saxons, meaning ‘people of the winding river’, and in honour of the City’s historical heritage it seemed an appropriate name for the development.

“This is an exciting regeneration project, which will transform the site into a thriving new community where people can live. The first properties are due to be completed this spring and we’re now looking forward to opening the first Showhomes.”

The first phase of homes includes a mix of three and four bedroom properties, which have now been released for sale. Each of the houses has been designed by Roberts Limbrick architects, with a range of house styles set to be delivered including both detached and semi-detached homes. All of the properties will be built to St. Modwen Homes’ philosophy of light and height, meaning they will have large windows and higher than average ceilings throughout.

Dave continued: “Weogoran Park will be our second housing development in Worcester and we are confident that the scheme will follow the success that we’ve seen at Gregory’s Bank. There is currently high demand for both family houses and starter homes in the local area and this new development will help to meet that demand.”

Located just two miles from Worcester city centre, the new properties will benefit from the many shops, restaurants and regular events that the city has to offer as well as having easy access to various commuter destinations, including Birmingham and Chelteham, via the M5.
