Award-winning housebuilder, St. Modwen Homes is steaming ahead at its new housing development, located just off The Mease in Hilton, South Derbyshire.

Named Hilton Valley, the development will comprise 129 new homes when complete, made up of one and two bedroom apartments, as well as two, three and four bedroom houses.

Following the official sales launch last month, St. Modwen Homes is currently busy putting the foundations in place for the first homes that will be released for sale at the development.

Dave Smith, Managing Director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “We’re very excited to have started on these new homes at Hilton Valley, helping to provide much-needed new homes in the local area.

“During the planning process, Derbyshire County Council praised us for the high quality design of our homes at Hilton, believing they would be an attractive option for homebuyers. There will be 14 house types available to choose from, all differing in external appearance and internal layouts, allowing people to choose a home that ticks all the right boxes.

“Impressively, we took two reservations on the first day that we launched showing just how eager people are to secure their favourite plot.”

St. Modwen Homes will be releasing five house designs at the launch of Hilton Valley, all of which will be three and four bedroom homes. Prices will start from £187,995 for a three bedroom semi-detached house.

In addition to the new homes, the housing development will also include new walking and cycling routes and a children’s play area. St. Modwen Homes will also retain the existing woodland that borders the site, with the aim of enhancing both its recreational and ecological uses.

These new homes at Hilton Valley will form part of the regeneration of the former Ministry of Defence Central Vehicle Storage Depot. St. Modwen will also deliver employment opportunities and is set to contribute £1.5 million towards secondary education in Hilton. St. Modwen Homes is the housebuilding brand of St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist.
