CONSTRUCTION STEAMS AHEAD ON NEW PHASE AT MANORFIELDS, CASTLE GRESLEY
Construction is steaming ahead at St. Modwen Homes’ Manorfields development in Castle Gresley near Swadlincote, as the multi-award winning housebuilder counts down to the launch of its next phase.
Due to be launched on Saturday 7 November, the new phase will be the second tranche of homes built at Manorfields, located off the A444, and will boast 26 new properties when complete, all of which are new house types for the development.
With the groundworks now complete, the construction team is busy laying the foundations of the new homes with the first property due to be delivered in April 2016.
Paul Daniels, Senior Site Manager at Manorfields, said: “As with all developments, there’s a lot of work that goes into the construction of a new housing development before people start to see bricks coming out of the ground. Over the past six months, we’ve been preparing the ground to ensure it’s in the perfect condition for new homes to be built. We take a lot of pride in the high standard of design and build of our new homes so it’s great to be in a position where people can start to see this new phase taking shape.”
The three, four and five bedroom houses in this second phase will be in addition to the 82 homes being delivered in the first phase at Manorfields.
Bev Hall, Sales and Marketing Director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “We’ve seen a flurry of interest in our new homes at Manorfields over the last few months and, in particular, there’s been increased demand from families in the area. Our new phase has been designed to meet this demand, with our house types including spacious bedrooms and open plan kitchen and dining areas, as well as practical living solutions, such as built-in storage and energy efficient solutions.
“Our construction programme for the second phase of homes has moved up a gear and we’re now in a position where it can soon be launched.”
More than 50% of homes in the first phase at Manorfields have now been sold; the majority of which have been purchased under the government’s Help to Buy scheme which allows homebuyers to secure a new property with a deposit as little as 5%.
As with all St. Modwen Homes’ properties, these new homes have been designed to be in keeping with the multi award-winning housebuilder’s philosophy of light and height, meaning each property has higher than average ceilings and large windows throughout.
