COSTA’S CATCH OF THE DAY ARRIVES AT TRENTHAM LAKES
A state of the art fish and chip shop has opened at the new District Centre at Trentham Lakes in Trentham, the latest phase of the 400 acre business and leisure community, being developed by Stoke on Trent Regeneration Ltd, a joint venture between St. Modwen and Stoke on Trent City Council.
The 1,000 sq ft Costa’s Catch of the Day is now open providing local residents and the business community at Trentham Lakes with a much needed hot food facility.
The business is owned by Staffordshire locals the Costa brothers, experienced third generation chip shop proprietors with successful businesses already running across the region. Gus and Dan and their partners Jen and Maria are all actively involved in running the new shop.
“We are delighted to have Costa’s Catch of the Day open for business,” commented Gus Costa. “Being so closely located to both a residential and commercial community, we identified Trentham Lakes as a prime location for a new outlet in the early days of Trentham Lakes and have been in contact with St. Modwen throughout that period. As soon as the layout of the District Centre was confirmed St. Modwen helped us to secure the right unit for our business and we have now fitted the property out to offer a modern twist on the traditional fish and chip shop.
“Customers to date have been really impressed by how contemporary the takeaway is and the wide range of food including healthy options that we are offering. We are really enjoying meeting new people on a daily basis and hope that our family led approach and commitment to providing the highest quality service will help us to build a strong client base here.”
Euan Lindsay of regeneration specialists St. Modwen who have created the Trentham Lakes development added: “With the new Aldi store having opened at Trentham Lakes this month we are delighted that Costa’s Catch of the Day is adding to the retail mix at Trentham Lakes District Centre. This is exactly the type of forward thinking business we want to attract to the area and it’s great to see it being successfully run by a local family who understand the marketplace in Stoke on Trent.”
Alongside freshly prepared traditional fish and chip fare, Costa’s Catch of the Day also provides a range of healthy living options including jacket potatoes and a salad bar. The shop is open from 11:30am-9:30pm on Monday and Saturday and 11:30am-10pm on Tuesday-Friday.
The District Centre is fast being established at Trentham Lakes with take up of the four further units due to be announced shortly.
