CRANFIELD UNIVERSITY TECHNOLOGY PARK WELCOMES NEW TENANTS

Tech Park’s Innovation Centre proves a regional hotspot with a trio of lettings secured

St. Modwen has leased a further three units at Cranfield University Technology Park, welcoming new companies; Atheon Analytics, Comms365 and Saab Automobile Parts UK Ltd. All three have taken space within the Cranfield Innovation Centre, reflecting a growing trend in businesses looking for high-specification space on flexible terms.

Rupert Wood, Regional Director for St. Modwen Northern Home Counties comments: “Cranfield University Technology Park continues to attract a high calibre of science, technology and knowledge-based businesses, looking to benefit from our close working partnership with Cranfield University; and the associated knowledge, resource and academic expertise available to tenants. It is vital to cultivate innovation and commerce, especially in a challenging economy, so in addition to these resources we have also expanded our support services at the Tech Park to include free business seminars offering topical advice and guidance, affordable virtual office solutions for those seeking a prestigious address without the overheads, ‘hot pods’ for short term rental and a host of administrative support options.”

Atheon, an analytics led business support provider, has moved from Milton Keynes and Comms365 from Ruscombe Park in Berkshire, to profit from the Tech Park’s strategic location in the heart of the UK and availability of excellent transport and communications routes. The Tech Park’s strong collaboration with Cranfield University and the technology support facets of the Cranfield Innovation Centre were also key deciding factors for both companies in their choice of office.

Comms365 is a full Local Internet Registry, with its own 10GB core network and autonomous system. The business offers communications products and services, with links to fixed line providers as well as Mobile Network Operators. Managing Director Mike van Bunnens, comments: “We are now surrounded by innovation and are able to harness business success throughout this area into a meaningful and productive network. We are delighted with our new office and all the facilities that have been made available to us here.”

In addition, St. Modwen is also pleased that Saab Automobile Parts UK Ltd has joined the Cranfield Innovation Centre businesses having chosen to stay in Cranfield rather than relocating elsewhere.
