CREAMS CAFE ARRIVES IN WEMBLEY GIVING A FURTHER BOOST TO THE NEW WEMBLEY CENTRAL REDEVELOPMENT

Wembley town centre’s reinvention will gain a further boost this week as Creams Cafe opens its doors at the Wembley Central redevelopment.

The opening of the American style ice-cream diner adds to the variety of new shops and catering outlets making Wembley Central a destination and meeting place, with a cluster of eating and dining venues including Costa and Wenzel’s Bakery.

Creams which now has more than a dozen ice cream bars in London, also serves crepes, coffees, milkshakes and cakes not only throughout the day but is open up until midnight in some areas for those wishing to make a special occasion of dessert.

The new Creams Café will operate from a 1,560 sq ft premises at Wembley Central which is approaching full occupancy with 21 premises already let.

The £90million Wembley Central project has been developed by St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, and has given the town centre’s commercial heart a new lease of life, generating more footfall and attracting new custom to the area.

Killian Morris, Senior Development Manager at St. Modwen said: “This latest signing shows just what a shift there has been in the perception of Wembley town centre. It is once more a bustling urban centre boasting major retail brands, where people will go not only to shop, but also to meet friends and to spend some leisure time. Creams brings something entirely new and will be a tremendous addition to our scheme.”

“The great new line-up is attracting further interest from operators, with another restaurant premises at the centre under offer to a gourmet style burger chain.”

St. Modwen has also built a total of 273 new homes within the overall scheme, which is gaining increasing recognition as a smart new urban quarter. The last apartments in the new development are currently being marketed for rental online (www.wembley-central.co.uk) and are now available to move into.

Wenzel’s bakery, Costa, The Perfume Shop and O2 make up a parade of shops leading to the refurbished Wembley Central train and tube station, with TX Maxx, Sports Direct, Tesco Metro and a major new Argos store also forming the heart of newly regenerated town centre.

Travelodge also opened a new 86 bedroom hotel overlooking Wembley Central’s new public square in March.

It further boosts Wembley Central as a multi-purpose destination where people can come not only to shop, but to meet with friends or to visit Explore Learning or popular fitness club The Gym.
