Digbeth Dining Club is cooking up a storm in Longbridge town centre
Following the sell-out success of its debut event in early August, Digbeth Dining Club announced its return to Longbridge town centre on Saturday 2nd September.
Birmingham’s favourite street food event brought a variety of stunning street foods from traders including Yamlut, Street Kitchen Brothers, Firkin Bar,Becue, Flying Cows, Gresko Bodhi, Shake That Ting, Kebabylon and Cornography.
At the first DDC Longbridge event on August 12th, many vendors sold out of food within hours of opening, ¬¬¬and were said to be overwhelmed with the positive response.
Andrea Clarke, Property Manager for St. Modwen, said: “We’re so pleased the local community turned out to welcome Digbeth Dining Club to Longbridge for the first time and enjoy the variety of delicious food the traders had to offer.
“To have them return so soon is testament to the success of the first event. We believe Longbridge will soon become a go-to foodie destination for the people of Birmingham, and DDC is the perfect event to help showcase what the growing town centre has to offer.”
Jack Brabant, Digbeth Dining Club Founder, said: “We were so overwhelmed at the massive response to our first visit to Longbridge that we couldn’t wait to come back. We are looking to the future to make this a regular destination on our calendar.”
Digbeth Dining Club is also set to return to Longbridge at the end of the year for a Christmas special.
Thanks to support from St. Modwen, owner and manager of the town centre, community group Friends of Longbridge Open Spaces (FLOS) has organised a range of events for the remaining months of 2017; including the Longbridge harvest festival, student musical showcase and 5-aside football tournament. Other events will be announced soon.
