Board Appointment

St. Modwen Properties PLC, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kay Chaldecott as a non-executive Director with immediate effect.

Kay (aged 50) has a long and distinguished career in the UK retail property sector. A chartered surveyor, Kay spent 27 years at Capital Shopping Centres Group PLC (“CSC”) where she became Managing Director and an Executive Board Director before stepping down in September 2011 to seek other business opportunities.

Having joined CSC as a graduate, Kay progressed through a range of disciplines, including Group Manager of CSC’s Southern Portfolio and Property Director. Promoted to Managing Director in 2005, Kay was responsible for the overall running of CSC’s asset, property management and centre operations as well as overseeing shopping centre development and leasing. She is highly experienced in working with local authorities, retailers and tenants.

Kay is also a non-executive director of NewRiver Retail Limited, the AIM-listed specialist REIT.
