The Company was notified on Friday 19th November 1999, pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, that Henderson Investors Limited and its associated companies (including Henderson Fund Management Limited (acting as agent for its discretionary clients)) now hold (either directly or indirectly) 10,523,560 ordinary 10p shares in St Modwen Properties PLC which represents 8.71% of the issued share capital figure of 120,773,954.

The holdings include shares notified previously and represent the current total holdings of the above named.
