The shopping centre receives top marks for the safety of its car park.
Edmonton Green Shopping Centre has been awarded the Park Mark award for Safer Parking by the Association of Chief Police Officers. The award acknowledges that a car park is not only a safe place to park your car, but one that also maintains a high level of cleanliness and working order.
The centre has previously been commended for the quality of its car park, receiving the award for Best Refurbishment in the 2008 British Parking Awards. The on-site management team has continued to maintain the car park’s high standards, investing in a high-calibre 24/7 security scheme, as well as running a thorough cleaning and maintenance schedule. These efforts have ensured that it’s one of the safest car parks in the area.
Roger Allen, Centre Manager commented: “It’s a real honour to receive an award like this, and a big pat on the back for the team who continue to make Edmonton Green a clean, safe and enjoyable place to visit. It also comes at a time when the centre is busier than ever; having invested in improvements to South Mall, works underway to update North Square, and the arrival of some exciting new retailers including Sports Direct. But it’s not all work, we are also planning a jam packed few weeks of events to celebrate the Olympics, starting with a massive opening ceremony on 27 July. We hope you will all come and join in the celebrations, and if you’re driving you can also enjoy our award winning car park!”
