Edmonton Green has signed up yet another popular high street name to add to its growing number of fashion and lifestyle shops – the well-known sports retailer, Sports Direct.

The shop will be opening in late spring 2012, following works to create a unique first floor shopping space with a ground floor entrance. At 14,700 sq ft, the store will be the size of two tennis courts – that’s a lot of clothes, accessories and equipment for every kind of sport!

Sports Direct will be an exciting addition to Edmonton Green. It offers brands such as Adidas, Umbro, Golddigga, Firetrap and Nike to name a few, and with Blue Inc just having opened, the Centre now has a good variety of men and women’s clothes shops.

Amanda Herron from Sports Direct, commented:

“Sports Direct are pleased to welcome a new addition to their growing number of stores within the M25, we are excited by the potential that the centre offers and are looking forward to the opening day.”

Gary Morris, Senior Development Manager, St. Modwen, commented:

“This is another great addition to the shopping offer at Edmonton Green, and it is excellent to have our first sports wear shop – Sports Direct can offer something for all our shoppers. Edmonton Green is going through an exciting time at the moment – new shops, the refurbishment of South Mall and the eagerly anticipated Xmas Factor competition showing off the best local talent, making sure we see out this year in style!”
