END OF AN ERA AT WALSALL ENTERPRISE PARK
St Modwen sells the last plot at successful 16-acre Business Park, Walsall
St Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has completed its 16 acre Walsall Enterprise Park with the sale of the final building plot to Daneswood Mechanical Services Ltd for £475,000.
The machinery company, which will relocate from Oldbury, has acquired the one-acre plot to build a standalone storage and maintenance facility for power presses and machine tools. Daneswood will then occupy the unit, together with local company Machinery & Installations Ltd.
Ian Romano of St Modwen said:
“St Modwen started works at the Enterprise Park over seven years ago and since then have turned the 16- acre site, which formerly housed the Pleck gas works, into a 250,000 sq ft industrial development which has led to the creation of more than 180 jobs, a large percentage of them in the manufacturing and distribution sectors.
“This final deal with Daneswood seals the success of the Park, which has been one of the most significant projects to be undertaken in the Walsall area as it has continually attracted a mix of local, regional and national businesses.“
