Edmonton Green will be taken over by crafty little elves in a series of FREE family workshops. The Centre will also play host to the Gruffalo in celebration of the brand new Edmonton Green Library.

Edmonton Green kick started the festive season with a visit from live reindeer on Saturday 18th November and a silly ‘Elf Yourself’ station on Saturday 25th November, where children could transform themselves with elfish face-painting and hand-decorated hats! The fun will continue for the next three Saturdays in December, with a different ‘Elf Workshop’ on each date.

On Saturday 2nd December, children are invited to make a Christmas puppet pal by decorating a wooden spoon and transforming it into a festive puppet. This Elf Workshop will take place on North Mall (near costa).

On Saturday 9th December, children will have the opportunity to decorate and personalise Christmas cards or gift tags for someone special. This Elf Workshop can be found on South Mall (near Hallmark Cards). Visitors should also be sure to stop by Edmonton Green Library where the fantastic “Street Party” event will emanate from. The Library will be celebrating its recent renovation with an array of vibrant activities, including appearances from The Gruffalo, storytelling sessions and roaming entertainment from Millfield Theatre.

Lastly, on Saturday 16th December, children will find the Elf Workshop on North Mall (near Costa) and are invited to make a special ‘Santa Stop Here’ sign; the perfect decoration for the family home to ensure it’s on Santa’s delivery route!

All the events are completely free and will run from 11am – 4pm.

Christmas shopping is in full swing and Edmonton Green has a fantastic range of retailers to help shopper’s tick off their Christmas lists, including: Matalan, Wilko, ASDA, Peacocks, Poundland, Card Factory, Deichmann and much more.
