St Modwen Developments Ltd, the development subsidiary of St Modwen Properties PLC, has let the final 930 sq m (10,014 sq ft) unit on Shrub Hill Retail Park, Worcester, to Klaussner Furniture Industries (UK) Ltd.
Klaussner, which has more than 50 out-of-town furniture stores in the UK, is taking a 15-year lease at an annual rent of £170,238.
Wickes, Dreams, Blockbuster, Carphone Warehouse, Tiles R Us, Wilson Pets and Staples are already trading in the park and Pizza Hut is scheduled to open in November.
Alan Williams of St Modwen, said: “We are pleased to have secured the final letting to a good operator at a time when a number of out-of-town retailers are drawing in their horns. This is confirmation of the strength of the scheme and of Worcester itself as a retail location.”
Ramsdens acted for St Modwen in the letting and is now marketing the investment of the greater part of this first phase of the overall development.
