FIRST BRICKS LAID AT NEW HOUSING DEVELOPMENT IN DURSLEY

The first bricks have now been laid at the highly-anticipated Littlecombe housing development in Dursley which is being built by national housebuilder St. Modwen Homes; the residential arm of St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist.

Located off Kingshill Lane in the historic market town, the development will be launched officially to the public on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April, where the plans will be available to view for the first time and the houses will be released for sale.

St. Modwen Homes will deliver 94 uniquely designed, properties in the first phase of housing, comprising a mix of two, three and four bedroom detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.

Ensuring the homes stand out in the local market place, the new houses will boast modern architectural features which include floor to ceiling central windows and vaulted landings in some of the properties. The homes will also have a variety of external treatments including wooden detailing, stone brick, render and brick ware. Some of the houses will also boast spacious balconies looking out towards the scenic ‘Cotswolds Edge’.

In keeping with other St. Modwen Homes’ properties, the houses will feature high quality interior fixtures and fittings including Electrolux kitchen appliances and modern bathrooms with Hansgrohe technology. All the rooms have been designed with higher than average ceilings and are larger than typical new builds on the market.

The ground works for the new homes began before Christmas and the first bricks have now been put into place on the first release of properties, one of which will be the future show home at the development.

Neil Simpson, sales and marketing director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “Construction is moving forward visibly at our Littlecombe site and we are now in the exciting position of being just a matter of weeks away from releasing the first properties for sale. The first release of homes will include some of the larger three and four bedroom properties, all of which will have advantageous views over Stinchcombe Hill, part of the Cotswolds Edge.

“The houses at Littlecombe will stand out against other new build properties in the area and we have worked closely with our architects to ensure house hunters’ needs have been taken into account, including practical living spaces and plenty of storage – not to mention en-suites to the master bedrooms in nearly all the properties.

“As with all our developments, the homes at Littlecombe will include high quality fixtures and fittings as standard. What’s more, people purchasing from plan will have the opportunity to choose their preferred finish to the kitchens and complimentary tiling to the bathrooms, helping to ensure their new property really is their dream home.”

Visitors to the launch weekend will be given the opportunity to discuss their property needs in greater detail and be some of the first to reserve a property at the Littlecombe development.

Neil said: “The new homes at Littlecombe will benefit from a host of local amenities including the town and its convenience stores, the high school and the nearby hospital. Residents will also be able to take advantage of the picturesque green spaces at the development, including a protected area of woodland.”
