FIRST DEAL SEALED AT LOCAL BUSINESS PARK

St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has completed its first letting at Brighton Office Campus. Independent children and parenting advisory body, Triangle, will take a 1,700 sq ft office unit at the Campus, which forms the third phase of its 10 acre Woodingdean Business Park, two miles off the A27.

Triangle has taken the office in an innovative and flexible “let to buy” initiative, securing it on an occupational lease but with an option to buy the premises at any time within the first two years of term. If it exercises this option, it will be refunded its rent paid up to the date of the purchase.

Simon Forrest, director at Oakley Commercial, St Modwen’s agents, said: “This first deal at Brighton Office Campus signals an important step in the stimulation of local business in the area. This exciting let to buy initiative has encouraged strong interest from local occupiers and a second agreement is expected to conclude imminently.”

Brighton Office Campus comprises 16 two-storey office units ranging in size from 1,730 sq ft to 2,540 sq ft. The news of the first deal demonstrates how, even during tough economic times, St. Modwen is able to secure lettings across its property portfolio.
