FIRST OFFICES SOLD ON MELTON PARK

St Modwen Properties PLC has sold its first offices on the 100-acre mixed-use development Melton Park at North Ferriby, Hull.

The 3,000 sq ft unit has been acquired by ICF Group, a commercial finance company specialising in the property sector.

Five other office units totalling 22,000 sq ft, ranging in size from 3,000 sq ft to 5,000

sq ft are available for sale or to let.

Richard Bannister of St Modwen, said: “We have been very encouraged by the interest shown in the office units at Melton Park, which have recently been completed to a very high standard. We are currently talking to a number of interested parties about the remaining units.

“The business park provides a sustainable development with good access to rail and bus links as well as the A63, all set within a very attractive environment.”

Richard Firth, a director of ICF Group, said that the location is of great benefit to the business. “We are really excited about our move to Melton Park. It is a brand new site and has excellent transport links to the A63 and M62.

“As a finance company we do a lot of work with businesses in Hull and East Yorkshire but with the great location of Melton Park we are now able to service people further afield in other parts of Yorkshire, Lancashire and in the south of England. This communication with other parts of the country is a big competitive advantage,” he added.

Interest in the whole development remains strong, with a third of the industrial units already sold.
