First Tenant for Woodingdean Offices

St Modwen Developments Ltd has completed the first letting deal in its 1,672 sq m (18,000 sq ft) speculatively developed Castle House office scheme at Woodingdean Business Park, Brighton.

Shermond, a surgical supplies company, has taken a ten-year lease on 204 sq m (2,200 sq ft ) at an annual rent of £15.95 per sq ft. Threequarters of the building is now under offer.

Simon Rutter of St Modwen, said: “This first speculative phase shows St Modwen’s committment to the business park and we are hopeful that the building will be fully let very soon.

“We are also close to completing eight light industrial units ranging from 223 sq m (2,400 sq ft ) before the end of January, four of which are already under offer.”
