St. Modwen Homes’ Branston Leas development has once again been voted the best regeneration project in the UK; this time by first time buyers who believe it is one of the greatest places to live in the country.
The mixed-use development, located off Burton Road in Branston, was awarded the gold award in the Best Urban Regeneration Project of the national First Time Buyer Awards on Friday (21st April).
Differing from other national awards, the winners of the First Time Buyer awards were decided on by members of the general public, with votes collected online over a two month period.
Dave Smith, Managing Director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “Branston Leas is a site that St. Modwen is extremely proud of and, as such, it’s great to see the development being celebrated in the national arena as a project that demonstrates best practice in urban regeneration.
“To know that the winners of the First Time Buyer Awards have been voted for by members of the general public; many of whom are homeowners or looking to buy their first home, makes this latest award even more special.”
Branston Leas was celebrated for the positive effect that the regeneration has had on the local community. As well as already providing more than 100 new homes, St. Modwen has delivered 160 school places through an extension to Rykneld Primary School, a village centre with new shops and local amenities, employment space that will create 1,500 new jobs, a sports pavilion and a new 82 acre bluebell wood.
Dave continued: “Since first starting work on Branston Leas, a key focus of ours has been to provide high quality homes for first time buyers. Proving a success, more than 50% of our purchasers at Branston Leas are first time buyers; many of whom knew about Branston Leas though recommendations and have gone on to recommend St. Modwen Homes to others.
“Earlier this month, we also achieved the highly acclaimed status of a five star housebuilder from the national House Builders Federation; something that only 15 housebuilders in the country currently possess. These achievements are a great way to mark our fifth year as we solidify ourselves as a quality and trustworthy housebuilder. It’s been a great start to the year for St. Modwen Homes.”
In November last year, Branston Leas was also named the best regeneration project in the UK by industry experts in the national Housebuilder Awards.
A major regeneration project, Branston Leas is being delivered by St. Modwen and its housebuilding business, St. Modwen Homes.
There is currently a range of four and five bedroom homes to buy at Branston Leas, with prices starting from £282,995 for a four bedroom detached house.
