Widnes Regeneration Ltd, the joint venture between St Modwen Properties PLC and Halton Borough Council, has sold two of the first phase of industrial warehouse units completed on Heron Business Park, part of the Widnes Waterfront Economic Development Zone (EDZ).

Maintenance Cleaning Services and Cheshire Plumbing Supplies have taken units of 5,253 sq ft (488 sq m) and 5,339 sq ft (496 sq m) respectively. There is strong interest in the remaining nine units which range from 3,283 sq ft (305 sq m ) to 8,149 sq ft (757 sq m ) with four units now being under offer.

The 50,184 sq ft (4,662 sq m) development, available to buy or rent , has been constructed to help to stimulate demand for new industrial accommodation in the area.

Richard Bakes of St Modwen said: “These two early sales combined with the further interest support our somewhat brave decision to invest in this form of high quality development in this location.”

Dixon Webb and GVA Grimley are acting for Widnes Regeneration.
