Fitrite finds new home at St. Modwen Park Doncaster

St. Modwen Industrial & Logistics has welcomed industry-leading fencing and decking manufacturer and installer Fitrite to its growing development at St. Modwen Park Doncaster.

Fitrite is the market leader in holiday park and domestic uPVC decking and fencing, providing a revolutionary alternative to wood, which is both cost effective and low maintenance.

The occupier has signed a 15-year lease to take a high-quality 21,272 sq ft warehouse, delivered as part of St. Modwen’s third and final phase of delivery at the scheme.

The news comes off the back of recent exponential growth for Fitrite, making the move to Doncaster necessary, and its new home will allow the firm to distribute its eco-friendly decking nationwide, creating 20 new jobs for the local area.

Fitrite’s new warehouse has a large yard, on-site parking and is situated in the ideal location for the business, on one of the main arterial routes into Doncaster.

The company has been operating in the UK for more than a decade and helps customers make the most of their outside space with innovative designs.

Completed in Spring 2020, St. Modwen built three speculative industrial and logistics warehouses – of which only a unit of 53,072 sq ft remains available for immediate occupation.

The new units provide flexible and high-quality industrial and logistics space for businesses looking to expand or relocate in South Yorkshire.

The scheme is strategically positioned near the town centre and close by M18, with the site just eight miles from Doncaster Sheffield Airport. Existing occupiers include DB Schenker, Bosch Automotive, McGregor Logistics, and National Grid.

We are delighted to welcome Fitrite to St. Modwen Park Doncaster. Fitrite is another Yorkshire success story and its long-term commitment is a great addition to our expanding and diverse national portfolio of industry-leading industrial and logistics customers.”

Rob Richardson, Senior Development Manager at St. Modwen Industrial & Logistics

After an extraordinarily busy few months, we’re pleased to be expanding our operations and moving to our new home in Doncaster. We feel this move will help us keep up with the significant increase in demand for our product from across the UK.”

John Ross, Chairman at Fitrite

The local authority has also helped orchestrate Fitrite’s move, further highlighting the many benefits of relocating to Doncaster.

We were delighted to see these high-quality units reach completion earlier this year and the completion of St. Modwen’s regeneration of this key employment site. Our Business Doncaster team has been on hand throughout to help Fitrite move and take advantage of the benefits of being located in Doncaster.”

Bill Mordue, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development at Doncaster Council

CBRE and Commercial Property Partners (CPP) have jointly acted for St. Modwen Industrial & Logistics across all phases of the development.

Fitrite’s move to St. Modwen Park Doncaster illustrates the need for new high specification industrial space across all size ranges in the region and further justifies the decision to continue the speculative development of units at the scheme.”

Sophie Angus, Associate Director at CBRE
