Former Winchester offices sold for residential development
Boltro Properties Ltd, an investment subsidiary of St Modwen Properties PLC, has sold a 1,022 sq m (11,000 sq ft) office building in the centre of Winchester for redevelopment for city homes.
The 1970s constructed Wyeth House, Hyde Street, was sold to Kingfisher Housing Association for £1.25 million. This followed the vacation of the building by the previous tenant who relocated to Southampton.
Charles Evans of St Modwen, said: “The sale was another successful step in our disposal of ‘treading water’ assets. The location has in the past few years become increasingly popular as an area for residential development whilst office rents have remained fairly flat.”
Space acted for Boltro Properties and Kingfisher was represented by RMJ.
