Gala Bingo to relocate into busy North City Shopping Centre

Gala Bingo will relocate into North City Shopping Centre, Harpurhey, North Manchester, to take advantage of the new facilities and increased flow of shoppers which the £18 million regeneration project by Redman Heenan Properties Ltd, the investment subsidiary of St Modwen Properties PLC, in partnership with Manchester City Council and Asda, is creating.

The leisure company will take a 25-year lease on the 2,137 sq m (23,000 sq ft ) bingo premises in the 11,148 sq m (120,000 sq ft) scheme. They join Wilkinson, Select, Cash Generator, Farmfoods, Pound World, Ethel Austin and Bargain Madness whcih recently opened a 1,672sq m (18,000 sq ft ) store. Brighthouse, trading as Crazy George, and Specsavers will also be opening in the centre.

The regeneration project includes the reconfiguration and enhancement of the malls and car parking areas plus CCTV installation, and the development of new facilities for Manchester Markets and a leisure centre.
