Grayling North builds reputation for St. Modwen

St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has appointed Grayling North to provide an on-going media and stakeholder relations campaign across Yorkshire and the North East.

Grayling will take a pro-active approach that raises St. Modwen’s profile across the region so that it is more widely recognised as an expert in regeneration and brownfield development. The campaign will encompass media relations as well as stakeholder positioning and community relations programmes.

With a portfolio of live projects, largely comprising industrial, but with some residential, St. Modwen is a key operator in Yorkshire and the North East and has recently published annual results which demonstrate the company’s strong return to profit.

Leading the campaign, Christine Emmingham, Head of Grayling North, said: “St. Modwen is an inspiring company to work with. They take an entrepreneurial approach and have the vision and confidence to tackle complex and challenging sites and turn them into inspirational and thriving businesses and residential communities in order to leave a long-lasting legacy. Using our experience in the property sector, we will be ensuring that their aims, ambitions and achievements are more widely known.”

Stephen Prosser, Regional Director for St. Modwen in Yorkshire and the North East, comments: “It was pleasing to see the strong result for 2010 and a buoyant start to 2011. The appointment of the experienced team at Grayling will ensure that we maximise these strong messages and communicate more effectively and regularly with our key influencers – both in the media and in the community.”

Grayling North is based in Roundhay and has operated in the region for nearly 25 years. The agency’s areas of expertise encompass property, lifestyle and leisure, travel and tourism, education and skills, healthcare and professional services. Grayling is ranked No 3 in the Yorkshire Post’s PR & Advertising league table 2010.
