GREEN LIGHT FOR OVER 100,000 SQ FT OF WAREHOUSE AND INDUSTRIAL UNITS AT ACCESS 18 IN AVONMOUTH

Planning consent has been granted to build an additional 105,000 sq ft of warehouse and industrial units at St. Modwen’s 212 acre development, Access 18, off junction 18 of the M5 in Avonmouth.

Pete Davies, Senior Development Manager at St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist explains:

“Access 18 is one of our key commercial development sites underway in the South West. Developed in phases and easily accessible from the M5, it’s an ideal location for businesses looking to expand their distribution and industrial operations in the region.  Following this new planning consent, work will start early next year on the first of three new commercial units. This first building will provide 35,000 sq ft of prime warehouse and industrial accommodation through 2015, which is available for purchase or rent.”

This £150m commercial scheme is being built in six phases and is currently home to businesses including national paper distributor, Antalis; catering suppliers, Nisbet PLC; greetings card manufacturer, Budget Greetings Cards; Richard Austin Alloys and Flexipads World Class Ltd. Phase four of development is now underway with design and build opportunities available from 10,000 sq ft to 300,000 sq ft on leasehold or purchase basis.

The other St. Modwen developments with design and build opportunities in the South West include: Skypark at junction 29 of the M5 near Exeter; Firepool in Taunton; Littlecombe in Dursley; Locking Parklands in Weston-Super-Mare off junction 21 of the M5; Clevedon Business Park off junction 20 of the M5 and Gateway 12, Quedgeley West and Quedgeley East Business Park, adjacent to Junction 12 of the M5 in Gloucestershire.
