HERBAL INN GIVEN NEW LEASE OF LIFE AS IT RELOCATES IN THE REDEVELOPED WEMBLEY CENTRAL

Holistic health store Herbal Inn is set to open its doors in Wembley town centre once again, after taking new premises at the recently completed Wembley Central Shopping Centre.

The [50] strong chain, which practices traditional Chinese medicine, offers acupuncture, massage, cupping and other treatments, as well as selling Chinese herbs aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle.

It is a welcome return as Herbal Inn had previously traded from Station Parade which was demolished in 2008 to make way for the new public square at Wembley Central.

Wembley Central is now almost fully occupied with 18 units let, and one further deal with an upmarket restaurant chain close to completion. There are now only two shop units available to let in the entire scheme.

The £90million Wembley Central project has been developed by St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, and has given the Town Centre’s commercial heart a new lease of life, generating more footfall and attracting new custom to the area.

Killian Morris, Senior Development Manager at St. Modwen said: “We are very proud of what has been achieved at Wembley Central. Not only have new national retailers been attracted to Wembley for the first time, but we have been able to accommodate a number of previous tenants that wanted to stay in the neighbourhood such as Herbal Inn, providing them with modern premises within a completely transformed environment.”

St. Modwen has also built a total of 273 new homes within the overall scheme, which is gaining increasing recognition as a smart new urban quarter. The last apartments in the new development are currently being marketed for rental online (www.wembley-central.co.uk) and are now available to move into.

Major brand name retailers already trading successfully at the regenerated centre include TX Maxx, Sports Direct, Tesco Metro, Argos, Iceland, Costa, Perfume Shop, O2 and EE.

Travelodge opened a new 86 bedroom hotel overlooking Wembley Central’s new public square in March, further boosting Wembley Central as a multi-purpose destination where people can come not only to shop, but to meet with friends or to visit Explore Learning or The Gym.
