High demand for first phase of Prescot Business Park

Almost half the first phase of St Modwen¹s Prescot Business Park, Knowsley, is in solicitors hands as  construction of  40,300 sq ft  of mixed business space nears completion.

The 12-acre business park, formerly a BiCC Cables site, is aimed at small businesses and the initial development comprises ten units providing 19,324 sq ft of offices and 20,990 sq ft of light industrial workspace.

The successful early response to the first phase has prompted St Modwen, which is developing the new employment area in partnership with Knowsley Council,  to start the next phase of 33,500 sq ft  this month.

Mike Hosie, St Modwen¹s development manager, said: ³We are very pleased with the strong level of occupier interest. We are clearly delivering a product that occupiers find very appealing, both in terms of the type of building, the quality of the landscaping and its excellent location in close proximity to the town centre and motorway network.²

When fully developed Prescot Business Park will total 215,000 sq ft and generate nearly 600 jobs.

CB Richard Ellis is letting agent for the first phase.
