HYBRID AIR VEHICLES LTD MOVES TO CRANFIELD TECHNOLOGY PARK

Shortly after David Cameron’s pledge to invest £200m in Innovation Centres across the country, St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, is pleased to announce another letting at its successful Cranfield Technology Park, taking the Park to over 75% let.

Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV), the aerospace solutions company, has taken 6,329 sq ft at 2 Medway Court and 2,895 sq ft at Conway House on the Technology Park located adjacent to Cranfield University. Hybrid Air Vehicles will be relocating the entire 70-strong workforce as part of its continuing expansion after winning a multi million dollar contract with the US Government earlier this year. The new leasing highlights continued interest in the Technology Park from companies looking to take advantage of the unique facilities and ties with Cranfield University, and their Innovation Habitat. The University has been at the forefront of aerospace technology for the last 60 years and boasts expertise in defence, engineering, manufacturing and environment.

Gordon Taylor of Hybrid Air Vehicles comments:

“We are delighted to have secured space at Cranfield Technology Park which has the excellent communications services and high quality office space we depend upon for our continued expansion and success. We look forward to settling in and making full use of the excellent facilities available to us on the Park and through its association with Cranfield University.”

Robin Vaughan, Development Manager at St. Modwen comments:

“Cranfield Technology Park is a perfect example of the type of facility that the Prime Minister is now actively encouraging and supporting. His announcement reinforces our experience that high quality office accommodation coupled with expertise from educational institutions can be a real success, which this recent deal further underlines. We are very pleased to have now completed this deal and we look forward to welcoming HAV to the Park.”

Cranfield Technology Park is an 80 acre site situated adjacent to Cranfield University on which St. Modwen alone has already developed over 116,000 sq ft of business accommodation which is occupied by over 40 businesses. It is also home to Nissan’s 220,000 sq ft European Technical Centre. The Technology Park is a member of the UK Science Park Association and as such, St. Modwen’s bespoke buildings including an Innovation Centre are designed to facilitate the development and management of innovative, high growth, knowledge-based organisations. The tenants at the Park benefit from a high quality environment with generous car parking and landscaping providing an ideal setting for new and established businesses alike.
