JUST ONE UNIT REMAINING AT ST. MODWEN’S QUEENSWAY INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

Regeneration specialist St. Modwen has signed another occupier for an industrial unit its Queensway Industrial Estate in Stoke on Trent, leaving just one 4,500 sq ft property remaining.

Churchman Fenner & Brown has signed a five year lease for the 1,726 sq ft unit to accommodate its business continued growth. The company specialises in structural, refurbishment and concrete repairs.  Structural Repair, Refurbishment and Concrete Repairs

Other occupiers relocating to and expanding their businesses at the scheme include refrigeration component specialist C.A.R.S UK Ltd, lawn services company Green Thumb and Belford Brothers Ltd, a long established skip hire and recycling company.

St. Modwen acquired the 80,000 sq ft Queensway Industrial Estate 18 months ago, which comprised 17 industrial units and a storage compound.  Development Manager Andrew Cox said the site’s on-going success is due to both the competitive terms offered to occupiers, as well as its prominent location on Longbridge Hayes Road, adjacent to the A500.

 “When we acquired Queensway Industrial Estate just over 18 months ago there were 5 vacancies and other leases due to expire in the short term.  We have now let all the vacant space and negotiated extended leases on other units, improving the lease position on 13 of the 18 units.  The only unit now vacant is due to the tenant relocating elsewhere after their lease expired last month.  This success is testament to the competitive strategy we have implemented to manage and improve this estate.  St Modwen’s proactive approach with new and existing occupiers to ensure continued and new occupation is key to maintaining occupation. All of the occupiers have also cited Queensway’s prominent location close to the A500 which offers swift access to J15 and J16 of the M6 as one of the reasons for choosing to move here.”
