LAST CHANCE TO BUY AWARD-WINNING HOME IN THE WOODLANDS
Following a strong first quarter, St. Modwen Homes has revealed that there are now just a handful of houses left to sell in The Woodlands phase of Locking Parklands.
Located ten minutes from Weston-super-Mare and built on the former RAF Locking site, Locking Parklands is little over a year old but has already sold out at its first phase of homes and is now 90 per cent sold at its second phase, The Woodlands.
Bucking the national trend, 75 per cent of the properties sold in The Woodlands have been purchased from plan. Now just four properties remain for sale, the majority being three bedroom semi-detached Maple houses that overlook the mature woodland at the development.
Guy Gusterson, managing director of St. Modwen Homes said: “People have fallen in love with the homes at Locking Parklands, with many commenting on the architect-led designs, particularly the holiday-home feel of The Maples, and the beautiful woodland setting.
“The Woodlands has a great community feel, with homeowners already enjoying walking their dogs together and looking out for bats in the development’s dark corridor now the evenings are getting longer. The phase is home to people on all stages of the property ladder, including families and first time buyers, and it’s great to see people genuinely getting on with their neighbours and enjoying each other’s company.”
Unique to The Maple properties, French doors from the master bedroom lead out onto a spacious south-facing balcony, making it perfect for the summer months ahead. Additionally, patio doors open onto a turfed rear garden from the property’s open plan kitchen and dining area.
All St. Modwen Homes’ properties are fitted with high quality fixtures and fittings throughout, including stylish kitchens and modern bathrooms. Taking a practical approach to living, useful storage areas are evident in the homes and the housebuilder has adopted a range of eco-friendly technologies. Last year, Locking Parklands was recognised as one of the top three developments in the UK at the national What House awards.
Guy said: “Part of St. Modwen Homes’ success to date has been down to the high standards that we adopt when we design and build our properties. Building new homes means we can incorporate the latest technologies and really take into consideration househunters’ needs. The past 18 months have been very exciting for St. Modwen Homes and I am really pleased that Locking Parklands is leading the way forward for our other developments across the UK.”
The Maple houses in The Woodlands are available under the Government’s Help to Buy scheme which allows purchasers – including first time buyers and those moving into their second property – to buy a home with a deposit of just five per cent (£10,975). The equity loan scheme reduces the price of the houses from £219,500, to £175,600, as the Government offers a loan of up to 20 per cent of the property’s value.
St. Modwen Homes launched its latest phase, The Meadows, at Locking Parklands earlier this month. The new phase comprises a range of two, three and four bedroom houses, along with two bedroom apartments. The marketing suite, located off Farnborough Road in Locking, is open for visitors seven days a week between 10am and 6pm.
